The community is divided into four villages which includes; Umunjam, Obiokwu, Umuike,and Umuoka. Each of these villages have at least eight kindreds. Amakohia - Ubi is bounded by Ndegwu, Irete, Orogwe, Ohii, Okwukwu, Ogbaku, Agwa. The people are dorminantly Christians with majority being Catholic and Anglican with few Pentecostal Christians and pagans. in January 3rd 2003, Amakohia Ubi crowned their first King, His Royal Highness Eze Smart Nze, after 40 yrs without kingship.
